Covid-19 data is clear indication we are going in a worse direction – Titus Beyuo

The Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has advised that reviewing safety protocols will be necessary considering the alarming spike in positive Covid-19 cases. Dr Titus Beyuo who is a member of the Infectious Diseases Committee of the Association lamented the poor observance of safety protocols which has caused an increase in infections. “Well, imposing new restrictions, I would say yes. Lockdown might be difficult but I think any other restriction should be guided by the figures we are getting. The data is showing us we are going in a worse direction,” he stated. According to him, the existing messages of wearing masks and practising social distancing are being ignored by a large section of the public leading to the spikes in cases.
